About The Position

North American Stamping Group (NASG), founded in 1978, is a privately held industry leader in metal stampings and automated assemblies. With facilities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, we support major automotive platforms and operate at the forefront of innovation, technology, and quality. We are expanding and looking for two skilled Machinists to join our growing team. POSITION: CNC Machinist

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years experience in machining, CNC operations, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Familiarity with machine operation, setup, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for up to 8 hours.
  • Lift at least 35 lbs frequently; carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to talk, see, and hear in a production environment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machining centers to fabricate precision parts.
  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining plans.
  • Measure, mark, and lay out reference points on materials.
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on mills, lathes, grinders, and other equipment.
  • Set machine controls for speed, feed, coolant, and tooling; input/edit CNC program data.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to maintain tolerances.
  • Verify finished components meet specifications.
  • Perform trial setups to confirm accuracy of programming and machine settings.
  • Fit, assemble, and verify alignment of completed assemblies.
  • Install machined replacement parts and test completed units.
  • Operate welding equipment as needed.
  • Create sketches and develop part specifications from general descriptions.
  • Work with engineers, programmers, and production to resolve machining or assembly issues.
