Working from given instructions, the Machinist will load programs into the controller, review the program, and perform intermediate setup of machine tools through first piece inspection approval. This role is accountable for manufacturing complex parts and machine maintenance, ensuring product quality during production runs using various measuring tools. The Machinist will work with tight tolerances according to control plans, blueprints, and CAD models, and may also work with prototypes. The position requires the ability to develop and machine basic fixtures, change tools and offsets, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Additional responsibilities may include working on special projects, editing programs at the machine, instructing other personnel on machine operation, and working in various areas of operations as needed.
