The Machinist will perform various duties in preparing parts for assembly of equipment, including operating various machining equipment. This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Machining Foreman.

  • Perform various machining and fabrication duties
  • Assist with checking accuracy and quality of all phases of fabrication
  • Operate basic shop equipment, including shear, press, iron worker, etc.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork for projects
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Demonstrate awareness, engagement, and accountability for work results
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with others in the work environment
  • Adhere to company policies as dictated in the current employee handbook
  • Take an active role in company programs, meetings, and events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
  • Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 lbs. and remain stationary throughout a shift
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
  • Basic knowledge of cutting and welding
  • Able to operate various machining tools efficiently and effectively
