About The Position
Duracell is seeking a skilled machinist to maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring adherence to all established safety rules. The machinist will use independent judgment and technical knowledge to manufacture complex machine parts from blueprints or rough sketches, utilizing CAD/CAM software to generate CNC code. The role involves maintaining precision tolerances, checking work accuracy with various measuring instruments, and operating a diverse range of machine shop equipment. The machinist will also perform heat-treating processes, demonstrate welding techniques, read complex drawings, and conduct preventive maintenance on equipment. Collaboration with the Engineering Department on machine modifications and project designs is also part of the job.
