About the position
The Machinist for the Weekend Shift is responsible for setting up and operating HAAS VMC and Mazak Lathe machines, with a focus on Mazatrol programming. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and perform tool offsets, ensuring efficient and accurate machining of various components while maintaining safety standards in an industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform multiple setups per shift
- Machine weldments and block work of all sizes efficiently and accurately
- Complete necessary inspection worksheets
- Maintain minimal re-work or scrap
- Operate equipment safely in an industrial environment
Requirements
- Willingness to work the Weekend Shift (5 AM-5:30 PM, Fri-Sun; work 36, pay for 40 hours)
- Experience setting up and operating HAAS VMC and Mazak Lathe
- Experience programming in Mazatrol
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including basic GD&T call-outs
- Ability to run parts from a blueprint and perform own tool offsets
- Capable of lifting parts up to 50lbs
