Partner with the best As a Senior Machinist you will be responsible for the creation of products using Computer Numerical Control machining techniques.   • Setting up and operating special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe and/or mill), and/or numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls as required.
  • Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as CNC mills, manual mills, CNC lathes, manual lathes, grinders, and shapers.
  • Demonstrating intermediate skill level on at least three machines; CNC mill, CNC lathe, and NC (figure feed rates), manual mill, broach, drill press, bandsaw, rework lathe/press lathe.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ISO 9001 certification.
  • Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.
  • Ability to adjust/edit existing programs using native CNC interface, such as Mazatrol, to yield a finished good.
  • Previous knowledge of creating programs using native CNC interface.
