About The Position

The Machinist V position at Yulista involves operating machining centers, editing programs to enhance productivity, and training less experienced machinists. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with a trade school certificate preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of CNC machining experience or 5 years of SurfCAM programming experience with an additional 10 years of CNC milling experience.
• Ability to set up CNC centers for complex parts using 3, 4, and 5 axis mills or lathes.
• Proficiency in editing CNC programs at the machine.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances with various metal types.
• Must pass a drug and background screening and obtain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Beginner to intermediate computer skills for data entry and timecards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and procedure manuals.
• Basic and intermediate mathematical computation skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machining centers to produce parts from various materials such as aluminum, steel, and bronze.
• Edit CNC programs as needed to improve productivity.
• Identify fixturing needs and tooling requirements for machining tasks.
• Train less experienced machinists and assist in their development.
• Set up machines for lower-level machinists when required.
• Conduct post-manufacturing inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Utilize multi-axis CNC milling machines and understand 4th and 5th axis operations.
• Troubleshoot machines and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety procedures.
