Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they're well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations.   • Provide service to internal customers as a Machinist Technician in the Newark New Jersey Technical Operation department.
  • Perform repairs and manufacture parts daily.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of four major machine groups: Lathes, Milling Machines, Grinders, and Drills.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and ARs/Rus.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and machine parts to close tolerances.
  • Set up, operate, and function competently as a machinist on at least two of the following machine tool types: Grinder, Lathes, Milling Machines, Hand Blending, Honing, Bushing Installation, and bench work.
  • Train on all machine tools and machining processes performed in the landing gear focus repair cell.
  • Work around-the-clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • High school diploma/GED or education equivalent.
  • 2 years experience in general machinist work and successful completion of a trade test.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Pass a 10-year background check.
  • Willing to take a pre-placement physical, skills assessment test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen.
  • Clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
