About The Position
Sr. Machinist works within a precision machine shop environment to set up, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC and manual machines, such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, boring machines, EDM, etc. to perform machining functions. Machinists provide input to determine method and sequence of work operations. Machinist will use judgment and reasoning to check precision machined parts and assemblies to specified operational, test and quality requirements. Machinist shall be able to collaborate with internal customers, support organizations, and supervisors to solve design and/or developmental problems. Machinist shall perform all tasks involved in the coordination, preparation, and movement of materials for their assigned area. Machinist must be able to integrate into established processes for the correction of discrepancies and demonstrate pride and ownership of the work they produce. Machinists must conduct themselves in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
