Wabtec Freight Car Products is a leader in the design and manufacture of freight car pneumatic brake equipment and corresponding automated test equipment. Products are used globally and typically governed by the Association of American Railroads (AAR). Developmental work is completed in-house through use of our wide range of resources including; various design software packages, test facilities, Model Shop and Materials Lab. How will you make a difference? As a member of the Wilmerding, you will be responsible for set up and operating a variety of machinery such as CNC, special purpose and other distinct machines and machining centers and some conventional equipment. Also sets up and adjusts machine tools including preset. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool and Die Maker
  • Proficient in Mastercam 2023 programming (Multiaxis, Mill 3D, Mill & Lathe)

  • Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Ability to multi-task and to adjust and be flexible with shifting priorities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • AWS certified in shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
