About The Position

Pregis is searching for a Machinist Millwright. This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager. The Pregis Graphic Innovators LLC. Machinist millwright plays a crucial role our in-house industrial machinery manufacturing process. The Machinist millwright will build, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for meeting build timelines and keeping the manufacturing machines operational. The Pregis Graphic Innovators LLC Mechanic must also have the ability to communicate their technical ideas in a clear manner, both visually and verbally.

Requirements

Technical process understanding
Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
Thorough knowledge of machinist methodologies.
Uses machinist/millwright skills to build industrial equipment.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
Equipment Maintenance experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5-7 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Using machinist/millwright skills: build, modify and maintain our ongoing or new industrial equipment lines.
Fabricates new and repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Shows proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and can produce shop sketches for the build or repair task at hand.
During a build or repair, determine any necessary changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting new or used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Job reporting capabilities.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
