Requirements

  • Must be Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service.
  • Must have ability to maintain and possess a Secret security clearance.
  • 6 – 8 years of related experience, to include specific systems expertise.
  • Familiarity with Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM), International Standards Organization (ISO), Automated Work Request (AWR), Automated Work Notification (AWN), Blueprint reading, Diagrams, Engineering Operational Sequencing System (EOSS) and basic knowledge of tools.

Responsibilities

  • Train as a Marine Technician within HII-Mission Technologies.
  • Learn Machinist Mate (Damage Controlman Repair Division) basics and principles to support the Surface Enhanced Capability to Assess Program (SECAP).
  • Schedule, track, assess, and repair equipment on U.S. Naval vessels.
  • Perform serviceability inspections and preventative maintenance on AFFF system, Main Drainage system, DC Locker Equipment, and CMWD Systems.
  • Manage Ships Force with Technical oversight and equipment maintenance/repair/replacement.
  • Collaborate/Coordinate with users/Ships Force to provide a hands-on approach specific to the Sailors' individual strengths.
