Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-year A.A.S Degree – CNC Machining Technology or 1-2 years of Machining experience in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • WorkKeys Certification: National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Certificate Level or higher).
  • Experience operating manual mills, drill presses, radial drills, hones, and Blanchard grinders.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of manual equipment that a machinist would use. The equipment that the individual will use includes the following: manual vertical mill, drill press, radial drill, hone, and Blanchard grinder. The person is responsible for using this equipment to machine parts to specifications. The person will observe machine operations and verify the accuracy of machine work pieces by use of a variety of precision measurement tools.
  • Assemble large commercial consumer packaging equipment. This includes subassemblies as well as piece parts positioned in the frame of the machine.
