About The Position

We are seeking a Lathe Setup Machinist to join our team. Position will include but not limited to, set-up and maintaining production and quality on precision machined parts on manual, CNC turning and CNC screw machine tools. Operating multiple machines when required, programming tooling and fixtures of all machine tools. Works closely with Engineering and manufacturing to improve manufacturing processes and manufacturability of precision machined parts. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. Proficient with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within these fields. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under little or no supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of programming tooling and setup experience.
• Manufacturing and machining background.
• CNC programming experience using Master-Cam and/or CamWorks software.
• Comfortable using new software programs.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain good interdepartmental work ethics.
