Machinist - Level 2 (2nd Shift)
About The Position
As a Machinist - Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will ensure efficient machining processes, lead a team, and collaborate to meet production goals and quality standards, optimizing schedules and improving operations. You will report directly to our Production Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Urbana, OH location on a 2nd shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM. In this role, you will impact the production line by ensuring the timely and accurate manufacturing of components, which is critical to meeting customer demands and maintaining our reputation for quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines and other equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining operations.
- Assemble, repair and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment.
- Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units. Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
