About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a Machinist IV to join our team. This position will be based in our Decatur, TX facility. The Machinist will perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials utilizing mills, lathes, grinding machines, band saws and other types of machines. HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE MONDAY-FRIDAY 7AM-3:30PM WITH OVERTIME ADDED AT END OF SHIFT WHAT YOU’LL DO: Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructions. Operate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties) Operate 4th & 5th axis mills, live tooling lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipment. Complete machining tasks within a customer job. Make complex code adjustments within program. Collaborate with programmers on program/fixture creation for new parts. Create hand-typed CNC code (i.e., chip prevention lines, fixturing) Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality products. Follow weekly scheduled work to track with on-time shipping. May be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
  • Possess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawings.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of machining methods.
  • Ability to make complex code adjustments within program.
  • Knowledge of advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
  • Ability to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE);
  • Work any shift as required to meet business needs.
  • Candidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) a plus
  • Experience using programming software a plus.
  • Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plus.
