The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) is located on Keysight's campus in Santa Rosa, CA. PMTC provides mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of Keysight's industry leading electronic measurement equipment. As a Machinist Intern, you will develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting edge machine tools such as Swiss Style Lathes, 3 to 5 axis Milling centers and multi-axis Mill/Turn machines. Working closely with Journeyman Machinists, you will learn all the skills needed to become a certified Journeyman Machinist in the State of California. This position is a Four-year apprenticeship to complete the CTMAA program to become a Journeyman Machinist. Keysight Technologies will cover the cost of tuition and any required textbooks for the classes.

Requirements

• Candidates must be registered at Santa Rosa Junior College and stay enrolled to maintain Apprenticeship employment at Keysight.
• A highly motivated individual with the desire to learn advanced machining skills.
• A knack for precision and detail, willingness to learn and works well as a team member.
• A positive/can do attitude, dedication and flexibility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating precision machining equipment.
• Ability to rotate through several areas of the Machinist trade such as: Milling, Turning, Wire EDM, Deburr, Grinding and Metrology.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a training worksheet to track training progress and development requirements.
• Meeting with the Intern Supervisor on a monthly basis to review the training worksheet and discuss any development or training concerns.
