WHAT YOU’LL DO You, being a level three machinist, specialize in the operation of precision CNC machining and/or gear cutting equipment. You must have knowledge of numeric controls (CNC), specialized tooling and other technology, perform close tolerance machining, setups, and use of a variety of precision measuring instruments. Your focus is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. As a machinist, your knowledge of CNC machining and specialized tooling makes you an integral part of the team. Your high-quality, detailed work is necessary to produce precise gears for our products that help put out fires and haul garbage away.
