The CNC Machinist III is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating various CNC Mill and Lathe Machines. In this role, you will be expected to identify and use proper tools, gages, and equipment for the process. You will be responsible for understanding various work processes and performing various machining operations within the CNC Machining group. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 year of experience interpreting engineering prints, CNC Machine experience, machine set up experience, including tool touch off’s and fixture installation
  • Or Journeyman’s card in CNC machining or Tool & Die
  • Able to program or ability to learn programming language G&M and Mazatrol coding
  • Must be able to walk/stand for an 8-hour shift with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be able to lift 44lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the work location will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with operating Mazak, Doosan, Ganesh, or Hardinge machines
  • Experience operating Fanuc or Mazak controllers and editing G&M code
  • Formal technical training or degree in manufacturing trades

Responsibilities

  • Edit and create Computer Numerical Controls (CNC) programs
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments, such as micrometers or vernier calipers
  • Set up, adjust, and operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products
  • Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards
  • Required to operate multiple machines in various machining work centers
  • Make offsets based on inspection of parts in accordance to print specifications/instructions
  • Download & edit programs from network system (DNC) into the machine
  • Monitor and edit the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Proficient use of micrometers, calipers, indicators, and various other measuring instruments
  • Assist Quality and Engineering teams with problem solving and troubleshooting for new or existing product development
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and general maintenance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and follow general housekeeping (5S+) standard and autonomous maintenance tasks
  • Identify and manufacture proper fixturing needed to complete the machining process
  • Identify proper tooling needed to complete the machining process
  • Interpret print datum structure and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T)
