About The Position

This position requires the ability to perform satisfactory work with minimum supervision, including machining setups and adjustments, inspection of produced work, and engagement in Continuous Improvement activities. The role emphasizes adherence to safety regulations and policies, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MP 9001 Quality Policy Manual.
  • Experience in Blueprint Reading.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
  • Proficiency in Shop Math / Advanced Metrology.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all EH & S regulations and policies and attend related training courses.
  • Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances.
  • Set up and operate machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses) to mill material and drill holes according to specifications without supervision.
  • Inspect and measure completed projects using micrometers, calipers, and Vernier’s to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Complete certified operator program and perform all SPC functions while keeping required documents up to date.
  • Maintain a neat and well-organized work area and engage in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Perform self-quality audits and first piece inspections on all work.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed and TPM boards are kept up-to-date.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
