About The Position

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced machinist to join our Burnsville team. You will work in a state-of-the-art climate-controlled shop creating both routine and custom pieces. Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of CNC lathes and mills.
  • The ability to make TLO and fixture offsets.

Nice To Haves

  • Two-year machinist/tooling degree.
  • Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprint and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Production Machining of routine and custom products using manual mills and lathes.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to perform set ups and production processes.
  • Calibrate machines to perform operations within its capability by positioning, aligning, securing work, utilizing and adapting appropriate tools.
  • Use analytical skills to formulate machine adjustments and perform the machining process.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize production processes and resolve and develop unique solutions.
  • Utilize inspection equipment including indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates.
  • Inspect and certify your work product.
  • Work independently using all resources available to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Perform daily, quarterly, annual Preventative Maintenance on equipment.
  • Effectively work in an environment requiring both repetitive and unique products.
  • Maintain focus on safety and quality.
  • Build manufacturing fixtures.
