About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating precision grinding machinery to produce high-quality, tight-tolerance ceramic components according to engineering specifications. This includes, but is not limited to setting-up, operating and dimensionally inspecting parts on a Surface Grinder, Rotary Surface Grinder, Blanchard, Manual Mill, CNC machines, polishing/lapping- and slicing equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of machining processes, and a commitment to safety and quality

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred
Proven experience operating surface grinders (manual and/or CNC)
Strong understanding of machining principles
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and travelers
Proficiency with precision measuring tools
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Solid necessary math skills, including measuring and keeping count records.
Attention to detail.
Standing, bending, lifting up to 30 lbs. at times for up to 8 hours/shift.
Good communication skills
Experience as a machinist or other relevant.
High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate surface grinding machines to grind ceramics and other materials to precise dimensions and finishes
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Maintain tight tolerance and ensure parts meet quality standards
Log work done in Fralock’s ERP system
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Select appropriate grinding wheels, speeds, and feeds based on material and specifications
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Other duties as assigned, including working in other departments
