As a Machinist II, you will set up, adjust, and operate Manual & CNC machine tools to manufacture and repair components to precise specifications. This role supports safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a regulated aerospace environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or equivalent formal training.
Trade certification required.
Minimum of 3 year of related machining experience.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) approximately 25% of the workday.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
Must meet US Persons requirements per ITAR.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with high accuracy and precision.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tool design, fabrication methods, metallurgy, and heat treating.
Experience working with welding, hydraulics, electricity, or pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with production management systems and internal control processes.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate specialized technical information.

Responsibilities

Recognize and understand flight/product safety-critical parts and processes.
Immediately report any flight or product safety concerns.
Participate in proactive risk analysis activities related to safety-critical processes.
Understand and operate within StandardAero’s Just Culture policy.
Read and interpret blueprints, specification manuals, layouts, and work instructions to determine machining operations.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances; measure, lay out, and verify workpieces using precision instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometers).
Set up and adjust Manual & CNC machine tools; troubleshoot and modify setups to meet required specifications.
Inspect finished products to ensure conformance to technical requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the production cell.
Cross-train in complementary skills and support production requirements.
Support training and development of other technicians as needed.
Follow all applicable safety requirements and report unsafe conditions.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
