Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Education in math (Trig and Geometry).
• Knowledge of metalworking, blueprint reading, metrology, and general machining principles.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CNC machining.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
• Ability to grind tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run manual and CNC machines, produce parts to design specifications.
• Work cooperatively with other machinists and management to maintain scheduled work flow and productivity.
• Ensure all documented customer, corporate and engineering requirements are met.
• Configure, set up and run manual and CNC machining centers and cutting tools to produce products as designed.
• Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to monitor and ensure quality of production parts.
• Perform and record routine self-inspections of first articles and work-in-process.
• Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T to ensure quality during the manufacturing process.
• Make minor changes and write programs for basic parts from drawings using G&M codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required.
• Actively seek opportunities to reduce machining inefficiencies and production cycle times.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the employer.
