About The Position

The Machinist I supports production by operating manual machines to fabricate one-off parts and tooling. This role follows strict safety standards and assists Aftermarket operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of manual machining experience (oil & gas, power, or heavy equipment preferred).
  • Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, kneeling).
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Willing to work overtime and adapt in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Machine parts to specification using manual drills, lathes, and mills.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and tolerances.
  • Inspect and document finished parts to ensure print compliance.
  • Apply required surface finishes, deburr, and stamp parts.
  • Set up fixtures, tools, and materials; monitor feeds and speeds.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Review job cards for specifications, quantities, and machining time.
  • Follow PPE and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Independently set up and operate lathes and mills.
  • Use precision measuring tools and trade math.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
