About The Position

AMETEK LMS is currently looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Second-Shift Machinist to join our production team. The Machinist I will perform standard work tasks with guidance on more complex assignments, operate and inspect output from value stream workstations to ensure quality, use and maintain tools and equipment necessary to execute standard work efficiently, test and calibrate simple assemblies according to detailed specifications, complete standard work with a high level of quality and limited discrepancies, while continuously improving, work efficiently on simple tasks, and seek assistance for complex tasks as needed, and identify challenges during work execution and actively seek help to resolve them.

Requirements

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, or climb for extended periods.
• 1-2 years of experience with manual lathe operations is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Windows.
• Basic math skills and ability to use measurement tools (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure).
