About The Position

CACI is seeking an experienced Machinist / Fabricator to its technical team in Albuquerque, NM. This position requires travel in the continental United States for various projects.

Requirements

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Possess proven problem-solving skills and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
• Use of basic powered and hand tools will be required.
• May be asked to lead a small project team, provide guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees.
• Machine Shop Equipment Operations Vertical Mill, Lathe, CNC, Band Saw, Shear, press brake, Hydraulic press, drill press, Metal Saw.
• Requires experience and job knowledge of Machining and fabrication and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Autocad
• Physical abilities include the use of arms, hands, and fingers to operate tools and various equipment.
• Standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching, and handling, pushing, and pulling.
• able to focus on items less than 20 inches away (corrected or uncorrected), see in three dimensions and distinguish all colors.

• Vocational or technical education in addition to related work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mechanical component fabrication.
• Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering parts machining, and fabrication.
• Interface with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods and processes.
• Perform manual tasks such as Metal cutting, grinding, sanding, filing, and materials removal and the application of various solutions.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders, and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation to include following test procedures and recording results.
