About The Position

You will be a Machinist with our Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control team in Chelmsford, MA. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑precision components that enable cutting‑edge systems. What You Will Be Doing As a Machinist you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machine tools to produce original parts, tools, and mechanisms that meet exacting quality standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and products following work instruction and drawings. Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality. Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly process/work instructions and work instruction processes. Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy. Sets up and operates any type of precision machine tool to make original parts, tools, mechanisms. Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment. Maintain accurate data entry related to production processes. Collaborate with teams members to improve throughput and continuous improvement. Further Information About This Opportunity This position is located in Chelmsford. Discover more about our Chelmsford, Massachusetts location. Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with possibility for Overtime. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. A company‑sponsored interim secret clearance is required to start.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Must have an Interim Secret clearance prior to start, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD controlled environments.
  • Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Experience supporting a Lockheed Martin contract.
