Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years experience as an EDM machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Strong knowledge of EDM processes and machine programming (FANUC, Mitsubishi, Sodick, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate EDM machines (Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Hole Drill EDM) to perform precision machining.
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators to inspect work and ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed to maintain specifications.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of EDM equipment and work area.
  • Work with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of production, maintenance, and quality checks.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
