We are looking for a Class B Machinist for our Ronkonkoma facility. Must live in Long lsland, NY. This role is under limited supervision. You will perform basic and intricate manufactured parts using Manual Milling and Lathe machining. Also, some computerized machining operations to fabricate parts for a wide variety of systems.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in manual machining 2-3 years of previous experience.
• Conceptual skills, functional and technical skills, tooling, strong attention to detail, and solid judgment
• Basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
• Minimum 2-3 years of prior experience as a Manual Machinist.

Responsibilities

• Maintains specifications by observing all operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
