To heat treat parts, tools, and materials involving carburizing, plating, hardening, tempering, annealing, stress relieving. Read thermometers, ammeters, voltmeters, indicating and recording instruments; use measuring equipment. Complete quality forms and other required paperwork Maintain a clean, safe, efficient work area Set up induction heaters; run trial heats; determine necessary voltage, current, frequency, feeds, speed, type of induction coil and water flow. Check sample piece for hardness and distortion; interpret samples for correct hardening technique. Will use material handling equipment. Recognize and immediately correct, without assistance, for difficulties and errors or cause to have corrected if fault is due to machines, equipment or material. Perform above duties without assistance except on unusual or difficult jobs only. Consistently produce work of proper quality and of properly required quantity.
