About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up and operating the full range of machine tools in the machine shop. Machines could include numerically controlled machine tools lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, hobs, hones, kummers, burnishers or balancers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of 2-year Technical School training preferred.
• 5 years of hands-on Machining experience required.
• 7-10 years CNC Machining experience strongly preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of how to operate 3 or more different types of Machines (ie. Lathes, Mills, Grinders).
• Experience with Okuma Machining centers preferred.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of Technical School training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard types of machines to complete single or progressive operations on standard parts.
• Assist less experienced machinists.
• Read, interpret and understand blueprints and operation sheets.
• Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.
