About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team specializing in the production of air compressors. The ideal candidate will operate manual and CNC machinery to fabricate precision parts, ensuring components meet exact specifications required for high-performance, industrial-grade air compressor systems. This is a second shift position, 2p-10p.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in machining or manufacturing preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience operating CNC and/or manual machine tools.
• Proficient in blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with machining tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, 5-axis and drill presses.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Measure, examine, and test completed components to ensure they meet specifications.
• Machine parts from raw stock material to precise tolerances required for air compressor assemblies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and ensure safe working conditions.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure traceability of parts.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
