Job Summary: Performs routine tasks which include cleaning machines, deburring parts, and saw operations. Operates other types of machinery such as numerical control (NC) and computer numerical control (CNC).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six plus months of Vo-Tech, manufacturing, or mechanical exposure experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions, work orders and engineered drawings.
• Exposure to using hand tools and measuring tools (calipers and gauges).
• Basic mathematical and computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to perform Trainee duties.
• Subject Matter Understanding.
• Computer Literate.
• Inspecting/Examining Ability.
• Mechanical Dexterity.
• Machining Aptitude.
• Housekeeping.
• Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operates saws and delivers material to operators as needed.
• Operates lift devices (chain hoists, pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Keeps the material area clean and provides assistance with cycle count needs.
• Conducts in-process inspection.
• Prepares/enters/completes work order reporting, transactions, documentation, and non-conformances in applicable software and computer systems.
• Adheres to safety practices, 6S, and follows Fike policies and ISO9001.
• Must be able to pass the forklift certificate within 6 months of hire..
• Performs set up on at least one machine.
• Able to set up and run 50% of the product on the primary machine.
• Able to observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining.
