About The Position

Job duties include working under the direction of experienced Machining associates to learn the skills necessary to perform the tasks required to perform all duties associated with the Operator/Setter position. Successfully complete in-house training program including Blueprint Reading. May be required to work on any shift in order to receive the optimum training and experience required of the trade. Assist Machining operators while developing necessary skills to operate and maintain equipment as described in the Machining Operator/Setter Progression process. Perform preventative maintenance on assigned machines. Ensure that procedures relating to job safety and process control are followed. Assist operators and setter in stocking machines and quality checks. Perform filter changes, machine cleanout and chip/scrap processing as required. Responsible for quality and quantity of work assignment. Responsible for a neat and orderly work area. Increasing responsibilities including training responsibilities with experience. Plant Wide Responsibilities: Safety and housekeeping Productivity Quality and continuous improvement Flexibility Equipment care and maintenance Operating philosophies May be required to work in other departments and in other job classifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Must meet minimum requirements of mechanical aptitude testing
  • No Corrective Actions in the last 6 months.
  • Can not have less than 17 hours of unpaid time. Under the attendance policy.
  • Demonstrated positive work history through performance reviews.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting 45 pounds consistently.
  • Must possess the ability to perform basic job functions as outlined above.
  • Must commit to Moen-Sanford Machining Machine Operator Training program to include a two-year commitment to the machining area upon completion of the on the job training.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous technical and/or precision machining experience.
