Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED with additional vocational training or certification preferred.
  • Five years of experience in the machine trade industry with management experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of all plant operating processes and equipment, purchasing procedures, safety procedures, governmental regulations and company policies.
  • Experience in selecting, defining roles, leading/mentoring/motivating a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills along with working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must be available to respond to emergency situations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Experienced in all industrial safe practices, including Electrical, Lock Out/Tag Out.
  • Committed to making safety a priority in all activities.
  • Having working knowledge of all basic industrial mechanical components and systems such as bearings, mechanical drive systems and components, gear boxes, pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, and other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Possessing the ability to read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and drawings, manuals, and set-up procedures.
  • Having a basic understanding of electrical drawings.
  • Qualified to safely operate machine tools - drill press, power saw, pipe threader, etc.
  • Ability to dismantle, repair, rebuild, clean, adjust, and calibrate mechanical components and systems, returning them to operating order.
  • Experienced and trained in basic welding, metal cutting, and basic metal fabrication.
  • Possessing basic working knowledge of electrical controls and drives.
  • Thorough knowledge of all plant operating processes and equipment, purchasing procedures, safety procedures, governmental regulations and company policies.
  • Experience in selecting, defining roles, leading/mentoring/motivating a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills along with working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must be available to respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.
  • Flexibility to work outside of schedule as needed to ensure limited interruptions in production.
