Requirements

Ability to have 24/7 Safety Conversations when employees are preforming a safe or unsafe act.
Able to read complex blueprints
Able to perform second person signoffs in all work centers in their department.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
Must have good knowledge of equipment and its safe operation.
Good communications skills
2-4 years of manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

Press brake experience preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure that all employees are wearing the proper PPE and adhere to the safety protocols of Standard Iron’s safety program.
Monitor work area setups to ensure they are ergonomically correct and minimize unnecessary movements.
Assist employees that are having quality issues by providing possible solutions toward resolution of problems.
Monitor machine efficiencies, ensuring that equipment is running at optimum levels.
Assist with scheduling work for the Laser, Turret, Press Brake and Machining departments.
Work Closely with Material Handler to ensure that employees have the necessary parts and tools to perform their assigned tasks.
Operate lasers and press brake controllers
Suggest improvements that demonstrate our Continuous Improvement Core Value.
Participate/Lead DVM’s in their Department
Be courteous to others by treating them with the utmost respect.
Fill in for Supervisor when they are absent.
Assist Supervisor with employee reviews.
Promote a sense of urgency and efficiency within the department.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
