About The Position
This position will assist the Machine shop personnel with producing parts. Support machine shop to help achieve Bedford’s Key Goals Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications Operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders to produce parts Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job Maintains specifications by taking measurements with proper measuring devices Troubleshoot equipment Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance Documents actions by completing production and quality logs Remove and process 3D print parts Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree/certification in Machining
- Ability to work both independently and with a team on projects
- Intermediate math skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and use resources
- Must be able to lift at least 40lbs
- Monday-Friday
- Works in an office and production environment
