Ursa Major's Summer 2026 Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the aerospace and defense industry while contributing to meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission and drive innovation in propulsion and advanced manufacturing. As a Machining Intern , you will be part of a fast-paced, focused, and highly cohesive machining team. You will contribute to machining critical hardware and improving the impact that internal machining has on Ursa Major's knowledge base and engine programs. Requirements

• Ability to learn quickly and stick to task
• US CITIZENSHIP, PERMANENT RESIDENCY, REFUGEE OR ASYLUM STATUS IS REQUIRED.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Introduction to CNC equipment including 3 and 5 axis mills and millturns, and CNC lathes
• Work side by side with machinists to program CNC machines for R&D and prototype parts
• Support high pace output of development hardware, reworks, and part modifications
• Assistance with all shop operations including tool & workholding procurement, equipment maintenance, etc.
• Possible other duties as assigned
