Reporting to the Head of Machining Engineering, the Machining Engineer is responsible for providing guidance and support to all areas of Machining Operations, including production, engineering, and commercial development . The Engineer serves as a trainer and high-level contributor in the following day-to-day functions: NC programming, fixture and work holding design, first machine article production, tool design, equipment specification/installation/repair, and sales engineering. The incumbent will work closely with maintenance to keep the facility and equipment in top working order, and builds strong relationships with all departments to achieve a greater level of machining performance. This position is responsible for planning and performing first article machining, and enhancing the quality and productivity of on-going production. Critical thinking and collaboration are required to evaluate and resolve unique equipment and product issues in a demanding production environment.
