Come be a part of our mission! We are looking for you to join our team as a Machinery Engineering Execution Manager 2. This role is part of the Marine Systems Engineering team, engineering and supporting the production of cutting edge hardware, enabling the U.S. Navy deploy its next generation naval equipment.

  • Provide project and technical oversight of engineering activities performed by the group
  • Prepare cost estimates, provide proposal inputs, and review proposal content for both internal and external customers
  • Increasing machinery engineering competencies through employee development and strategic hiring
  • Balancing employee needs with business goals
  • Provide ownership of and direction to the engineering processes used in the group
  • Support department initiatives, forecasting and recruiting, technology roadmap creation, and champion continuous process improvements
  • Bachelor Degree in STEM with 8 years of engineering experience; OR a Master Degree in STEM with 6 years of engineering experience
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience leading a cross functional engineering team to support production
  • Production issues resolution experience
  • Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing and Test Integration process
  • Experience as a Technical Lead, Project Manager, or other demonstrated leadership role related to program execution
  • Master Degree in Engineering and advanced experience in engineering or technical management experience
  • Experience in functional/people management
  • Understanding of machinery system principals of operation and design, specifically bearings and couplings
  • Knowledge of Design Engineering processes, procedures and work instructions required to support both management and engineering tasks
