About The Position

The Machine Tool Services (MTS) Supervisor - 2nd Shift plans, designs, and reconfigures equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities. The Machine Tool Services (MTS) Supervisor - 2nd Shift will manage a team of staff to include team leaders of Technical/Business Support or Production/Maintenance areas while setting day-to-day goals and objectives for team members. Assesses and evaluates the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs. Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs. Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance. Conducts machine inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment. Manages facilities contractor management process.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, quality or similar environment OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, quality or similar environment. In absence of a degree, High School Diploma/GED and 9 or more years of experience
  • Experience working with machine tools and repairing machine tool equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate cross-disciplinary team members.

  • Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills
  • SAP experience
