As a Machine Tender you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving specialty chemical solutions forward. The Machine Tender is responsible for ensuring product continuously moves through multiple sleeve cut & punch machines, maintaining product segregation throughout the secondary process, washing sleeves from tumbling and for final packaging. The Machine Tender is responsible for working with Process Technicians and Quality Control to communicate issues or concerns and to verify product is running within specification. Additionally, the Machine Tender must understand quality standards, verify equipment and router parameters, record accurate data on documentation and enter data into our data collection system.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of four-years of high school, or equivalent.
  • Mechanical or machine operating experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Work with the area lead to determine cut & punch priorities and keep sleeves processing in an efficient manner to meet department goals.
  • Accurately record data on the router, QAD/Factivity (or similar ERP or labor/material reporting software), daily production tickets, time clocks and any other forms used in your area.
  • Verify equipment/tools/materials used per work order/process guide.
  • Understand and follow the instructions per applicable router for your job.
  • Ensure the quality of the product meets the specifications listed on the router.
  • Understand and follow the SOP’s, Work Instructions and Process Guides pertaining to your area.
  • Follow all company policies and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Observe and promote Company standards and policies on safety, quality and productivity.
  • Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in medical device and clean room environment
  • Support and observe 5S and other lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Restock supplies for next shift.
  • Proper Housekeeping of their work area and workstations.
