Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical
  • Must be able to use basic math and typing skills
  • Ability to pass Lock Out - Tag Out training
  • Ability to learn and to perform work on all equipment within assigned department
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Works independently and self-motivated in performing job tasks
  • Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of machines and equipment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that production standards are met by efficiently running the machines and equipment
  • Set up, operate, maintain equipment and tear down as instructed
  • Run product at line speed as scheduled by Production Supervisor
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Production Supervision, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance as it relates to equipment performance and down time
  • Follow safety procedures and checklist for startup, emergency stop, and restart of the lines after down time
  • Follows all work safety policies and guidelines, such as Lock Out - Tag Out
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns
  • Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines
  • Maintains a clean and organized area
  • Cross train on other equipment/areas as needed
  • Maintain equipment records through paper logs or on assigned electronic device accurately and timely
  • Other duties as assigned
