Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
Must pass a background check, drug screen and pre-employment physical
Must be able to use basic math and typing skills
Ability to pass Lock Out - Tag Out training
Ability to learn and to perform work on all equipment within assigned department
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Works independently and self-motivated in performing job tasks
Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of machines and equipment

Responsibilities

Ensure that production standards are met by efficiently running the machines and equipment
Set up, operate, maintain equipment and tear down as instructed
Run product at line speed as scheduled by Production Supervisor
Maintain ongoing communication with Production Supervision, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance as it relates to equipment performance and down time
Follow safety procedures and checklist for startup, emergency stop, and restart of the lines after down time
Follows all work safety policies and guidelines, such as Lock Out - Tag Out
Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns
Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines
Maintains a clean and organized area
Cross train on other equipment/areas as needed
Maintain equipment records through paper logs or on assigned electronic device accurately and timely
Other duties as assigned
