Machine Technician - 1st Shift
About The Position
Machine Technician - 1st Shift Entegris is currently seeking a Machine Technician to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for performing tasks related to producing components used in our OEM assemblies. This position will fabricate various stainless-steel tubes per engineering drawings and specifications. This may include cutting, facing, bending, and de-burring. These tasks will be accomplished by using vertical bandsaws, CNC tube bend equipment, porta band saws, roto bur tools, files, tube facing tools and various hand tools and measuring equipment. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions. This is a 1st Shift position, working Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years’ experience in cutting de-burring and cleaning tubing and fittings.
- Ability to learn to navigate through our ERP system to find, drawings and instructions.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily.
- Ability be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Ability to learn how to handle material responsibly.
- Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.
Responsibilities
- Works from instructions, drawings, and lists of various tube diameters and lengths with supervision.
- Use SAP to print drawings and tube cut lists.
- Cut, prepare, and bend tubes per drawings.
- Ability to follow verbal instructions.
- Follow engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
- Performs routine, repetitive operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
- Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.
- Ability to work safely and recognize the safety of others.
- Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
- Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
- Work with a team as well as independently when needed.
- Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
- Any other duties as assigned.
