PRIMARY FUNCTION: Repairs mechanical malfunctions on flagged looms, starts up new warps, and does schedule (preventive maintenance work). To perform necessary inspection, removal, replacement, adjustments, and lubrication as required by manufacture to maintain assigned equipment in satisfactory operating condition. To ensure machine meets maintenance inspection procedure and style specification requirements before being put back into production. WORKING PROCEDURES: 1 Repairs looms as flagged by Weaver or inspector. 2 Patrols looms to detect trouble. 3 Follows preventive maintenance program. 4 Inspects, cleans or replaces air supply lines, fittings and filters. Set up as per (S/R SMS) 13.2, for acceptable leakage level. 5 Removes rotation feeder and installs rebuilt feeder. 6 Checks operation of feeder clutch to conform to S/R SMS 4.121. Installs drive belts and set 00 scale. 7 Installs reed, checks temple table using temple gauge, adjusts according to S/R SMS 9.1.1. 8 Inspects and replaces as required air nozzle, camshaft bearings and cams. Sets clearance between cam and cam followers as per S/R SMS 4.2. 9 Removes and replaces main and relay nozzle. Checks each nozzle for dynamic pressure as per S/R SMS 13.7. Adjusts main and relay nozzles for air pressure and timings as per SSS. 10 Inspects cutter assembly for worn, broken parts and for proper operation. 11 Inspects for wear and changes as required pick gear and spur gear. Inspects drive chains and sprockets for wear, proper lubrication, and correct tension. 12 Inspects sand drum and press roll cover and bearings, sets as per S/R SMS 8.3. 13 Inspects fiber discs and band for cloth roll take-up, inspects cloth take-up bushings, lubricates as per S/R LM 8.3. 14 Inspects filling detector, replaces as necessary. 15 Inspects suction fan for wear, frame and mounting for integrity. 16 Inspects waste selvage take-up gears, roller linkages for wear. 17 Inspects all lights and wiring for proper operation and condition. 18 Inspects leno devices and associated springs, cables and gears. 19 Inspect "VSO", repairs or replaces as required. 20 Inspects motor, frame brake and fan for proper operation. Sets brake up as per S/R SMS 2.1. 21 Inspects let-off, let-off motor and frame, clean fan. Set up as per S/R SMS 12.5.3 to 12.7.3. 22 Inspects shock absorbers, sets as per S/R SMS 12.8.1. Inspects whip roll assembly bearings. 23 Inspects all safety switches for proper operation. 24 Inspects storage tank and assembly. Drains tank of accumulated oil and moisture. 25 Inspects cam motions and associated parts. Set up as per S/R SMS 10.21. 26 Inspects vogel pump for operation as per S/R LM 8.4 K to 8.4 KB. 27 Staubli head - refer to description of inspection - SHM 8.05. 28 Change oil in let-off, cycle gear, cam motion gearbox, refill as per S/R LM 8.3. 29 Cleans machine and floor of all excess oil or grease. 30 Inspects and sets machine up as per "MIR" or "SSS". 31 Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
