About The Position

This position involves operating fiber optic lasers to cut thin-gauge sheet metal and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The role includes responsibilities such as staging parts, utilizing forklifts for material handling, and troubleshooting machine alarms. The successful candidate will work closely with internal customers to ensure timely delivery of parts, adhering to the specifications outlined in blueprints and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operating fiber optic lasers to cut thin-gauge sheet metal.
• Shake-out and staging of parts.
• Physically shakes or picks parts out of sheet metal skeleton.
• Utilizing a forklift to load material and off-load cut parts.
• Empty scrap dumpsters into large take-a-way hopper.
• Troubleshooting machine alarms.
• May use fork truck to load materials.
• Partner with internal customers to coordinate parts delivery timeline to meet or exceed external customer expectations.
• Complete finished product within the parameters outlined in blueprints, mini-bills, and/or schedule.
