Location: Austin, TX Job ID: 45286 Under general supervision, sets up and operate screen printing and auxiliary equipment and performs other manufacturing support duties in Print Ship areas of the factory. Check us out here: www.hidglobal.com and https://youtu.be/23km5H4K9Eo As our Machine Technician lll, you’ll support HID’s success by: Verifying the sales or work order to identify printing and production requirements for each order. Verifying the product/materials being used to set up machine for thickness, artwork requirements, etc. Matching colors to the proof based on previous artwork, feedback or sample card and maintaining color throughout the run. Monitoring machine operation to detect malfunctions. Performing first article inspection prior to doing full production run to verify appropriate position/alignment, color, and quality. Making necessary adjustments to the machine prior to initiating the production cycle. Creating films using RIP system and use to expose and process screens for production. Accessing the computer and enters pertinent information as per work order. Maintaining press and associated equipment in a clean and operational ready condition. Providing assistance and training to other associates as required. Wearing personnel protective equipment as required for particular operation being performed. Maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Following all safety policy procedures throughout the entire factory. Working in a clean room environment and follow all policy and procedures. Having the willingness and ability to wear the appropriate gowning clothing that will be provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience working with machinery and performing set ups.
  • Must be able to work sitting down and/or standing up for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, scoop, and reach to perform above duties.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a print shop is a plus, specifically using plastic substrates such as PET, PVC, and PC
