About The Position
Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Machine Shop Manager to join our growing team. This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, Washington State. The Machine Shop Manager will oversee daily production processes associated with machining metallic production parts and tooling – fixtures. The Machine Shop Manager will support manufacturing methods and processes for horizontal head/head 5 axis milling machines, vertical 5 axis table/table mills, and 4 and 3 axis vertical machines. These machines will machine production and tooling parts made from aluminum, titanium, and many other exotic hard metals up 165” (4200mm) in length and 10” in thickness. The position requires considerable skill in workflow planning and the coordination of multiple projects to achieve maximum productivity. Must have a background in High Efficiency tool path methods, common fixture designs, and rapid changeover. An understanding of Overall Equipment Efficiency is a plus. Strong people management skills and ability to communicate across multiple organizational boundaries and disciplines are critical. Must be able to evaluate data and metrics. Machine Shop Manager is responsible for management of up to 25 personnel on multiple shifts.
