About The Position

As a Machine Set-Up/Operator, you will be required to set up and operate all machines located in the Machine Shop. You will be responsible for the quality of your own work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be mechanically inclined with good basic mechanical skills.
• Ability to interpret CNC programs and edit them as needed.
• Knowledgeable with calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
• Knowledgeable with engineering prints and specifications.
• Ability to chart dimensions on machine shop forms.
• Able to read gauges and other instruments.
• Ability to read blueprint drawings.

Responsibilities

• Setting up Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and operating them at specified production levels maintaining quality standards at all times.
• Providing feedback and take corrective action whenever conditions exist preventing achieving quality, performance and production standards.
• Performing assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• Maintaining quality/production standards in one job function for which you are trained.
• Maintaining a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health and safety, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
• Maintaining a good attendance.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
